Camp out in beautiful Union County to see what’s at stake if this massive phosphate mine is approved.
Last year STR was fighting with all our might to stop the Sabal Trail Pipeline construction. While that fight continues to wind its way through courts and a new EIS permit process, we are shifting some attention to the other side of the Santa Fe River watershed.
Come prepared to camp in chilly weather. Bring food and songs to share. (There will not be a central kitchen.)
There will be some facilitated discussions and workshops geared toward organizing around the phosphate mine, as well as the nearby prisons, and the ongoing threat of gas pipelines and LNG export.
